The Food
Take one charismatic restaurant manager, mix in an up-and- coming chef and add a dash of Rick Stein to create the perfect Chiswick brasserie.

The menus at Sam's feature everything from light salads to serious roasts, and therefore appeal to everyone from local office workers to parents with children. The emphasis is on affordability and flexibility - there is no minimum spend, and people are encouraged to visit Sam's Brasserie for everything from breakfast or a light snack and coffee, to drinks with friends or a full three course meal with wines. Breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch and children's menus are also available.
Typical dishes on the à la carte menu include Salad of Baby Gem, Soft Boiled Egg, Radishes and Croutons with a Herb Vinaigrette, Salt and Pepper Squid Salad with Fresh Chilli, Shallot, Cucumber and Rocket, Cornish Mussels with White Wine, Leeks, Cream and Parsley, Gruyere Cheese and Soft Herb Omelette with Chips and a Green Salad, Roast Icelandic Cod with Champ Mash, Crushed Peas and a Parsley Sauce, Braised Pork Cheek with Sweet Potato Mash, Honey Roast Parsnips and a Cider Jus, Panettone Bread and Butter Pudding with Vanilla Custard, Lemon Tart with Crème Fraiche and Griottine Cherries and Milk Chocolate Torte with Banana Ice Cream..
Staff are ludicrously friendly, and owner Sam Harrison wanders around, filling wine glasses and dispensing bread and chit-chat...
The wine list is huge and food simple but stunning.- Class
